HINSDALE, IL - A Jeep careened into a sub shop and deli in Hillsdale, leaving at least five people injured, according to CBS News. 

Police say the vehicles crashed into Fontano's Subs an Deli near the intersection of South Lincoln Street and Chicago Avenue at about 2:30 p.m.

Witnesses say the vehicle struck a 14-year-old pedestrian that was waiting at the car wash across the street and dragged him across the street. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. 

Three customers at the sub shop, either hit by the car or struck by debris, were also hospitalized with serious injuries. A fifth victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene. 

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway. It is unclear if any charges or citations will be filed against the driver of the Jeep at this time.
