CHICAGO, IL - A two-vehicle crash on Chicago's Southwest Side left a man critically injured early Friday.

According to a report by WGN, a Ford Mustang was traveling at a high rate of speed on West 59th Street near South Pulaski Road at about 4:45 a.m. when it collided with a Toyota SUV.

The Toyota's driver, an unidentified 50-year-old man, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. 

A 25-year-old man, who was behind the wheel of the Mustang, made an attempt to escape on foot from the crash site. However, he was apprehended and subsequently transported to Christ Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
