ELMHURST, IL - A major collision involving two SUVs in Elmhurst this morning resulted in the death of a woman and left multiple children injured.
According to a report by WGN, a Chevrolet SUV was heading east on St. Charles Road at about 5:05 a.m. when it crossed into the oncoming lanes and slammed head-on into an Audi SUV near Hill Street.
The unidentified female driver of the Chevrolet suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Her two passengers, ages 4 and 2, were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
The Audi's driver, an unidentified woman, was also hospitalized with severe injuries.
