CHICAGO, IL -- A hit-and-run crash early Sunday in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood claimed the life of a pedestrian, according to ABC7 Chicago.
The fatal incident took place in the 1300 block of West Kinzie Street at around 2:00 a.m.
Investigators say the victim was struck by a driver in a dark blue 2011 Cadillac SUV with Illinois registration number DV19629. Following the contact, the driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid or alert authorities.
The victim, whose identifying details remain undisclosed, died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
