WILL CO., IL - A man from Wilmington is facing a number of charges in connection to a wrong-way crash last month that claimed the lives of two people. 

According to CBS News, 33-year-old Michael Trinka, was traveling in the oncoming lanes of I-55 near Lorenzo Road at about 10:30 p.m. on June 27th when his pickup truck slammed head-on into an SUV.

Two occupants of the SUV, 35-year-old Ronald Dube and 34-year-old Kelly Quinlan-Dube, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Their three children, which were also in the vehicle, were taken to an area hospital in serious conditon. 

Trinka was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Upon release from the hospital, he was arrested and booked on 12 counts of aggravated DUI.
