CHICAGO, IL - A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday in a collision involving a semi-truck in the Palatine area, According to CBS Chicago.

Police say the motorcyclist was northbound on the Northwest Highway when hit collided with the semi-trailer as it was turning into a private driver near North Hicks Road.

The rider, a 50-year-old man whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. It is currently unclear whether the driver of the truck sustained any injuries.
